Finally back in business!

     Hello all, I'm back! Sorry it's been months since the last post, I realized something during that time: schoolwork often gets in the way of such writing. Also, if you've read the "Zelda" story chapters, you can forget them. They've changed so much, you may not recognize them now. :)
     Anyway, back to my post. We found a stray cat recently, a beautiful calico we've named Gracie.

     You can't see much of her now; I'll make sure more photos are on site soon. She's perfectly fine now, and we're getting the other pets used to her little by little. Our dog, Patch, has been just fine around her, but our cat. . .
     Well, the cat's another story.

     Our 'dominant male' housepet, Teewinot (pronounced "TEA-wa-not," named after the mountain in the Uintas), has definitely noticed something's up. Ever since we brought Gracie home, he's been hunting high and low, trying to find the source of that suspicious "new-cat" smell.

      Not only is he searching, he's extremely hyper. He'll attack anything small that moves, from my sister's faux feather boa to the dog Patch. It's been amazing fun for my siblings, though. There's so many shrieks of joyful laughter as the cat chases them around the halls of the house.
     

     We've been told to wait for two weeks before the two cats meet, which must be torture to the cat's curious nature. Either way, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll be fine with each other.
