"It was summer just yesterday. . ."

Have you ever heard the phrase "If you don't like the weather in [name your state here], wait a few minutes?" It's very true here in Utah. Just two days ago, it was extremely sunny with temperatures at high 70's-mid 80's; you know, just average summer-to-fall conditions for here. Yesterday, it rained almost all day, and dropped 20 to 30 degrees! I know I wasn't prepared, and neither were others I know (their names will be withheld). One interesting sight I saw was looking at the Rocky Mountains and seeing the entire top half covered with snow, and the other half still green. It was a vivid contrast! I would have taken a picture, but my camera's still down for the count. Oh well; just try to imagine it. It may look better that way, I don't know.
As I look to the future and work in the present, I have a moment of silence for the fall that was taken from us much too early.
And, moment's over. Back to work again.

Anyone can post a comment, but posting a comment doesn't guarantee it'll be posted, just so you know. At the moment, comments for correction will be sent just to me, while all the other comments will, Very Likely, be published on the blog itself after moderation. I'll still read every comment, and reach out to you to continue the conversation if I can, but in the off chance it's not posted, don't take it personally. This is largely to maintain focus on the topics at hand, and to avoid the confusion and ugliness often visible in comment sections across the internet.
Then again, this too is something I'm trying out, so if it doesn't work, let me know that too! :)
